Dragon Ball Z is a fun, competitive arcade fighting game available for free on the PC. It supports only Windows devices with operating systems of XP and lower. In other words, modern Windows operating systems like Vista, 7 and 8 will not be able to play Dragon Ball Z. Besides this minor inconvenience, Dragon Ball Z is sure to offer hours of entertainment to PC gamers looking for a quick battle in this retro arcade game.

Upon starting Dragon Ball Z, players will be greeted with a menu of several options. A large variety of modes are offered, such as VS mode, Arcade, Watch, Training and Team modes. Users can do anything from obverse AI fighting mechanics to playing in team versus team fighting matches.

The first thing that pops out is the manga-inspired art style, all powered by the retro graphics of the MUGEN 2 engine. Martial arts fighting mechanics are apparent in Dragon Ball Z. Players can choose from a diverse selection of maps from the Dragon Ball Z universe and can choose from over 30 Dragon Ball Z characters.

Players won't need a modern PC to play Dragon Ball Z. The minimum requirements are extremely low and won't be a worry to the majority of the users who want to try Dragon Ball Z. For a game with such low requirements, Dragon Ball Z still offers great graphics and high-quality audio. Players can also tweak the game play, such as the difficulty, time limit, controls and other configuration settings.

Dragon Ball Z, developed by Mugenow, can be installed with a quick 31.2 MB download. DBZ was last updated in 2007, so features are unlikely to be added in the future, but that shouldn't keep players from trying out this extremely robust, free-to-play fighting arcade game.
